CRESCENT TOWING

Place of Performance: New Orleans, LA Mississippi River

Date: February 2016 – March 2016

Next Generation Logistics contracted with Crescent Towing to provide high-water-assist services during historically high river levels on the Lower Mississippi River. The river conditions were so high in fact that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers had to open the flow gates of the Bonnet Carré Spillway for only the 11th time since its 1931 construction. Next Generation Logistics provided logistical services and two model-bow tugs, the COMPASS STALLION and the COMPASS DOMINATOR, to perform advanced procedures in conjunction with docking and undocking ships ranging from 650 feet to 900 feet in length. Next Generation Logistics strategically placed its tugs at various docks to support ships requiring additional horsepower and stability while docking and undocking in high water.
